Level3 To The Next Level
A lot of people are sweet on Level3. The company has been mired in over-spends. However, some expect it to be able to refinance itself out of that mess. Long-term, there are not many who can compete with Level3's infrastructure. The Broomfield, CO-based company operates one of the largest communications and Internet backbones.
Level 3 (LVLT) is rated new Outperform by Credit Suisse. Credit Suisse believes the company will continue to see strong demand driven by higher data usage. Sets $7.50 target price.
Tech:stocker's view: Akamai's stock went crazy last year on broadband growth. Level3 should benefit from the same usage trends. If you can hold onto it for a while, Level3 has promise.
